May 13, 2022 | 5:10 PM

A national gold medal sits just a game away now for Team Saskatchewan at the 2022 National Aboriginal Hockey Championships.

Topping Team Eastern Door and the North (Quebec) 6-0 Friday in the semi-finals to stay perfect with a 5-0 record on the week, the victory sets up a showdown with Team Ontario tomorrow (May 14) for the national gold medal.

Battlefords AAA Stars standout, Treycen Wuttunee scored a goal in the semifinals victory, while Carter Cormier of the Swift Current Legionnaires (SMAAAHL) and Ty Mason of the Weyburn Red Wings (SJHL) added a pair each, and Pavel McKenzie of the Tisdale Trojans (SMAAAHL) also scored in the win.
