May 5, 2022 | 9:00 AM

The Prince Albert Shark Swim Club’s Diamond Fish, Miss Ali D., became the first Shark in the last 30 years to capture four medals at a Western Canadian Swim Trial.

Ali won two gold medals and two silver medals at Westerns in Edmonton, April 22–24. The gold medals came in the Para-Swimming 100-metre breaststroke, and 200-metre individual relay. Her second-place finishes were in the 50-metre and 100-metre freestyles.

Even though she was the only Shark that made the trip to the Westerns, her performances alone placed the Sharks in 18th out of 60 clubs in the final team points standings.

The Prince Albert Sharks club offers a variety of programs to meet all athletes’ potentials and ambitions not only on the competitive level but also on the pre-competitive level. Prince Albert Sharks swim club accepts year-round registration.
