Trial commences for pair charged in Humboldt man’s death
The circumstances surrounding the kidnapping and murder of a Humboldt man two years ago will be discussed in great detail this month during a trial at Saskatoon Court of Queen’s Bench.
Steven Veilleux, 44, and Tristan Morrison, 23, face a number of charges including first-degree murder and causing indignity to a body.
In February 2020, 22-year-old Allan Douglas Garrioch (who also went by the last name Glasier) was attacked in his brother’s home and his remains were found about a week later in a rural location near Bruno, northwest of Humboldt.
Another of the co-accused, Brettin Veilleux Pelletier (Steven’s son) was sentenced in October and received 18 years after entering guilty pleas to charges of manslaughter, unlawful confinement and break-and-enter.
