City to begin street sweeping on Monday

Apr 30, 2022 | 8:00 AM

The City of Prince Albert has announced they will begin full street sweeping operations on Monday.

They will begin on the high traffic arterial streets and after that will move to collector streets and residential areas.

They have been out in the last week sweeping targeted areas where conditions have allowed them to.

“Freezing temperatures cause ice buildup in the gutters which prevents a thorough cleaning,” said Geoff Soderberg, Roadways Manager for the city in a media release. “With consistent warmer temperatures we can get full operations underway.”

The city would also like to remind those driving on the roads to keep their distance from the sweepers as visibility could be reduced.
