The Saskatchewan Roughriders continue to add to their roster in advance of training camp.

On Friday, the CFL team announced it had signed receiver Johnathon Johnson, a 25-year-old product of Memphis, Tenn.

After playing at the University of Missouri, the 5-foot-10, 180-pounder signed with Washington’s NFL franchise as an undrafted free agent in 2020. He attended training camp with the CFL’s B.C. Lions last season.

At Missouri, Johnson played in 46 games, catching 153 passes for 2,190 yards and 13 touchdowns, rushing seven times for 135 yards and returning 29 punts for 229 yards and one touchdown.

During the 2017 season, he had four touchdown receptions of 65 yards or longer, including a 79-yarder in the Texas Bowl.

The Roughriders are to open rookie camp in Saskatoon on May 11, with training camp set to open at Griffiths Stadium on the University of Saskatchewan campus on May 15.
