CHAMBER BOARD

Nominations now open for Chamber Board of Directors

Apr 12, 2022 | 9:00 AM

Business leaders in Prince Albert are being encouraged to put their names forward for the local Chamber of Commerce.

Nominations for the Board of Directors are now open and will remain so until May 15.

Chamber CEO Patty Hughes said any member of the chamber can be nominated, regardless of experience.

“We don’t expect a whole lot of experience, but we do expect community members with the best interest of the chamber at heart. We really want our chamber board to be reflective of what our business community is.”

Hughes said the business community in Prince Albert is diverse pointing to areas like forestry that she hopes will be represented in the new Board of Directors.

“That’s going to be a big part of our business community and what it means to Prince Albert so that is important to be giving that consideration. We’re looking for people who have experience in various, different sectors.”

Once nominations have been submitted, the names will go to members of the chamber who will then vote for those they wish to be part of the Board of Directors.

Nominations can be filled through an online form, now available on the Chamber of Commerce website.

The Chamber is also getting ready for the Samuel McLeod Business Awards, which are scheduled to go Thursday night at Plaza 88.
