After matching five main draw numbers on the Lotto 6/49 in February, Prince Albert’s Marylou Lovell is taking home $119,482 in lotteries winnings.

Lovell checked the numbers online and had saw that the winner was from Saskatchewan. Her numbers started matching one by one and she realized she was holding the winning ticket.

Lovell couldn’t believe it and even called her daughter to check the numbers. The two checked their numbers five times using the Lotto Spot! app before she shared the news with the rest of the family.

“There was a lot of excitement,” she said in a media release.

The ticket was purchased by Marylou on behalf of the family for a group buy.

The prize will be split by Marylou, her husband, Alan, and the other members of the group buy. That consists of their two children — Justin Lovell and Cheryl Russell — as well as Cheryl’s family, including her husband, Darren, and their three children: Tanner, Tyler and Tarren.

Lovell plans on taking a trip with her share of the winnings.

The family says they play together when the jackpot is high. The winning ticket was purchased at the Giant Tiger on 267 – 32nd Street West in Prince Albert.
