Stolen truck involved in fatal crash near Emma Lake

One man has died after a collision involving a stolen truck near the community of Emma Lake.

On Monday morning, Prince Albert RCMP was called to a crash at Highway #263 and Okema Beach Road between a car and a pick-up truck.

The driver and lone occupant of the car, a 64-year-old man from the area, was declared dead at the scene. His family has been notified.

The occupant or occupants of the truck, a white 2001 GMC Sierra, left on foot before police arrived.

Investigators have determined the truck was reported stolen from Leask on April 3.
