Conexus donates $50,000 to hospice

Apr 5, 2022 | 4:00 PM

Conexus Credit Union sees good things in the Rose Garden Hospice and has donated some money to help make it a reality.

Branch manager Brent Smith said it was not a hard sell to support the hospice with a large donation.

“The Rose Garden Hospice is really going to ensure that the people of Prince Albert and the northern health region have access to compassionate, holistic care,” said Smith.

Conexus tries to partner with community organizations and groups that make a meaningful difference, he explained.

“This partnership is a really easy one for us just because it does align so closely with our values as a Credit Union,” Smith said.

Conexus made the donation through their community investment program.

Ground broke on the 10-bedroom hospice site in 2021 and framing has started on the building.
