Nominations open for 2022 Terry Fox Award

Mar 31, 2022 | 11:13 AM

The City of Prince Albert is calling on residents to nominate a fellow citizen for the 41st Terry Fox Award this year.

The award will be presented to a young resident who shows dedication, perseverance, is a role model and exhibits similar qualities to the late Terry Fox.

The award is meant to honour the memory of Fox’s achievements and acknowledge a local recipient. Those eligible must be under the age of 21 for those who have shown good citizenship in service to school, social, athletic and church institutions.

Last year, the award was presented to Reid Lehner, who operates his business Reid’s Basket ‘N Things and donates to local charities. He creates gift baskets that bring many smiles to people in the community.

Nominations are now open and forms are available on the city’s website and at the Community Services Department Office 3rd Floor at City Hall. The deadline for applying is June 24 at 5:00 p.m.
