St. Brieux wins nailbiter to claim 2A Boys Hoopla championship

The St. Brieux Crusaders won gold on their home court on Saturday. They picked up the 2A Boys Provincial title after beating the Norquay Knights 83-78 in a thrilling finale.
The Crusaders defeated Preeceville on Friday in the semifinals 82-52. Richard Rosalin led the Crusaders with a game-high 26 points. Jagger Teiber had 17 points. Preeceville won the 2A Boys bronze, beating Regina Laval 65-53 in the third-place game.
5A Basketball
The Carlton Crusaders boys were edged out 79-74 in the consolation bracket. The St. Mary Marauders boys lost 90-55 to Saskatoon Walter Murray. The St. Mary Marauder girls fell in their consolation game 81-53 to Saskatoon Centennial.
