Raiders and ICE battle tonight at the Art Hauser Centre

Mar 22, 2022 | 12:20 PM

The Winnipeg ICE have 91 points on the season and are by far the top ranked team in the WHL East Division and have been a mainstay in the CHL Top 10 Weekly Rankings throughout the season.

But the Prince Albert Raiders have defeated them three times in five occasions this year, one of the few teams to have consistent success against them.

The Raiders won the last meeting 3-2 in overtime on March 5 with Nolan Allan scoring the heroic goal.

Raider defenceman Landon Kosior has three goals and five points in the season series against them this year. Evan Herman has four goals.

For the ICE, Connor McClennon has five goals and eight points for the ICE, including a hat trick in the 5-2 ICE win on Jan. 21.

The Raiders are one point out of a playoff spot as the Swift Current Broncos have 53 points to the Raiders’ 52. The Raiders have played in three fewer games than the Broncos (60-57). The Lethbridge Hurricanes are in seventh place with 56 points in 58 games.
