In P.A., levels are up around 96 per cent compared to the previous week. North Battleford is looking at a jump of more than 93 per cent.

The Omicron-subvariant BA.2 is accounting for just under 50 per cent of the levels in North Battleford, however, it’s only accounting for roughly 18 per cent in P.A.

Researchers believe BA.2, which is thought to be more contagious and has been popping up across Canada since the start of the year, will become the dominant strain within the next few weeks.
