The Prince Albert Skating Club carved up the ice Sunday afternoon as they held their year-end Ice Show at the Art Hauser Centre.

This was the first time since before the pandemic they were able to hold the annual show and featured multiple performances from members of the club.

Mandy Burns, treasurer of the Prince Albert Skating Club said they were pleased with the amount of people who showed up to support and added people are ready to gather as it’s been so long since they performed in front of a crowd.

“I think it’s just a great chance to see all sorts of skating and we have the Pre-Can’s going out now and all the way up to adult skate and we have a couple of competitive skaters and they’ll put on a good show,” she said.

The participants work on their skills all year long and put it all together for this show a few weeks beforehand.

Burns added all of those involved were very excited just to show off what they can do, especially since this is their only live show of the year.

“We did do one that was virtual this year as well we did that last year too. It’s just kind of a YouTube thing. This is where we get a bigger show and people can actually see it,” Burns explained.
