Kinsmen look for pancake breakfast rebound

Mar 4, 2022 | 11:00 AM

The Prince Albert Kinsmen Club is looking to have their 46th annual pancake breakfast earn as much money as it did before the pandemic.

Marcus Abrametz, president of the club, said they normally raise over $5,000.

“We have some very generous, faithful customers who come out year after year, enjoy their hot breakfasts and bring their donations.”

This year’s TeleMiracle event starts on Saturday, March 5 and will include four performances from Prince Albert.

The pancake breakfast was held at Smitty’s this morning starting at 7:00 am and went until 11:00 am.

“It’s an opportunity for businesses to come out and share their TeleMiracle fundraising experiences, share their TeleMiracle ideas,” said Abrametz.

The minimum amount of money in order to get a breakfast was $10 but many people donate much more than that.

In return for the donation, people could get the food with coffee and juice, a tax deductible receipt and their name – spelled correctly – aired on the televised show, Abrametz said.
