SHA to ease visitation restrictions at long-term care homes Monday
The Saskatchewan Health Authority is to relax visitation restrictions at most of the province’s long-term care homes starting Monday.
At 8 a.m., SHA long-term care homes will ease COVID-related visitation rules and move to what the authority called “open family presence.” However, a few homes are to keep enhanced precautions in place by order of local medical health officers.
Open family presence means there aren’t any limits to the number of family members, support people or visitors who can be visit a resident at one time.
Masks will be required in common areas, but won’t be required in residents’ rooms unless the resident has COVID.
