P.A. Sports Hall of Fame Banquet scheduled for April, induction class announced

After two years of the event being postponed due to COVID-19, the 30th Prince Albert Sports Hall of Fame Induction Banquet has been scheduled two months from now.

The group of people to be inducted will soon be immortalized as the class of 2022, which will include athletes Dalyce Emmerson, Dwayne Gareau, and Scott Byrne; athlete and builder Martin Ring.

For meritorious service, Andy and Merle Kozun, and Barry Schrader will also be honoured. Wendell Whitter and Bill Watson are also being inducted as builders. Teams who will be inducted include 1973 East End/1975 Old Dutch Twins softball teams and sports organization of the year is awarded to the Prince Albert Lacrosse Association.

The banquet will take part on Saturday, April 30 at 6 p.m. in the Ches Leach Lounge. It was originally scheduled for May 2, 2020.

The tickets for the banquet are on sale for $60 each and $480 for a table of eight. The banquet begins at 6 p.m. with cocktails and dinner at 7 p.m. with the induction ceremony soon after.
