Local coffee shop upgrades fundraising option
A local Prince Albert business is hoping the launch of its new website, will help more groups raise important funds.
For roughly the past two years, Dr. Java’s has been running an in-store promotion where interested groups can buy a select number of bags of the in-store made coffee, and get a cut of the proceeds. Co-owner Brandy Mogg said issues arose with people either pre-buying too many bags, or not buying enough.
“We just kinda noticed the simpler we can make it for them, the easier it was,” she said.
Mogg explained the new online option allows more groups to get involved, while also eliminating the responsibility by the groups to collect any funds. In fact the only time the group deals with any funds is when they are cut their cheque from Dr. Java’s.
