Police looking for man who allegedly assaulted woman in local business

Feb 7, 2022 | 3:34 PM

The Prince Albert Police Service is turning to the public for help identifying a man who is believed to be responsible for assaulting a woman at a local business.

On Feb. 1, just before 2 p.m. the woman said she was approached by the man who accused her of not following directions posted on the floor. He then proceeded to push her then punch her multiple times in the head.

The woman, Roma Carson, told paNOW she yelled at the man, telling him to take his hands off her. He then knocked the phone out of her hand and proceeded to punch her multiple times in the back of the head, and even pulled her jacket over her head.

“He just kept swinging,” Carson said. “I was just trying to get him off of me and was yelling and screaming.”

The man identified by police is seen in this photo. (Submitted photo/ Prince Albert Police Service)

This continued until staff intervened and escorted him out of the store.

In the photos the man is seen wearing a green jacket, a ball cap and a face mask. He drove away from the business in an early 2000s blue GMC or Chevolet extended cab pickup truck.

The police are asking anyone with information on the man can contact police at 306-953-4222.
