Raiders send Linklater to Regina, Tisdale to AJHL
While the Prince Albert Raiders await the resumption of their schedule, general manager Curtis Hunt has not been idle. The team made a pair of moves today, sending two players away from the team and, in one case, bringing a draft pick back the other way.
In the first of two moves, the Raiders sent 2003-born forward Logan Linklater to the Regina Pats. In exchange, the Raiders acquire a conditional eighth round pick in the 2023 prospects draft.
Linklater played with the Raiders in the hub environment in Regina last season, suiting up in 22 games and scoring once, while adding four assists. The Kindersley native has not played in the WHL this season, playing instead for his hometown Kindersley Klippers of the SJHL, where he’s put up 14 points in 26 games, good enough for fifth on the team.
Also today, the Raiders announced they have sent goaltender Cole Tisdale to the Whitecourt Wolverines of the AJHL. Tisdale made just two appearances for the Raiders after being acquired on Dec. 12, once against the Red Deer Rebels on Dec. 29 and once in relief against the Saskatoon Blades on Dec. 30.
