PACSD provides update on staff vaccines and vaccination clinics

Dec 22, 2021 | 12:00 PM

Nearly 100 per cent of all staff in the Prince Albert Catholic School Division (PACSD) have declared being fully vaccinated.

During a regular board meeting on Monday, the Board of Trustees was presented with an update on the vaccination status of staff in the division.

As of Dec. 3, the PACSD said 100 per cent of staff responded to the Declaration of Proof of Vaccination requirement, with 96 per cent saying they’re fully vaccinated.

Staff were given until Dec. 2 to declare their vaccination status. Unvaccinated staff are required to regularly provide negative tests and monitor for any symptoms.

Sticking with the vaccine front, the Board of Trustees were also provided details on recent COVID vaccine clinics and rapid test distribution.

From Nov. 28 to Dec. 7, the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) held clinics in PACSD schools after vaccines were approved for children aged five-11.

The second round of clinics will take place in January.

Meanwhile, the government has made rapid COVID tests available for all students, families and staff and will be given out as they arrive.
