77 new COVID-19 cases, but only eight of which are in northern zones

The Government of Saskatchewan reported 77 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, but most of them are in the central or southern zones.

Out of the new 77 cases, just eight are reported Northern and Far Northern zones— with five in North Central and three in North West. The North East, Far North East, Far North West and Far North Central all did not report any new cases. However, residence is pending for four new cases.

Hospitalizations dropped by eight to 109. Recoveries rose by 137. No new COVID-19 deaths were reported.

NITHA numbers

There are 0 new cases to report today in Northern Inter-Tribal Health Authority (NITHA) communities.

There are 11 active cases of COVID-19 in NITHA communities. These cases are located in the Far North Central (Athabasca), one; Far North West, eight; Far North East, one; North Central, one; and North East, one; 6,850 cases (99 per cent) have recovered, and one person is hospitalized.
