Dec 8, 2021 | 8:00 AM

Two men from Muskoday First Nation face a number of charges including attempted murder, robbery and forcible confinement, following an incident on the reserve last Saturday.

Brandon Scott Bear, 24, and Patrick Bear, 44, appeared Tuesday at Prince Albert Provincial Court. Both were ultimately remanded.

RCMP said a third man that was arrested was released without charges

According to court records obtained by paNOW, the victim was shot in the head and the abdomen during a robbery and kidnapping. The suspects made off with the man’s truck, as well as cash and a cell phone.

Prince Albert RCMP were called to the First Nation after receiving reports of an assault. Police believe the man had been shot multiple times at different locations on the First Nation over the course of several hours.

The victim was eventually able to leave the place where he was being held and seek assistance from a member of the public who drove him to a safe location and emergency services were called.

The man received medical attention for what were described as critical injuries. He remains in hospital. Parkland Ambulance confirmed for paNOW a 39-year-old man, with serious injuries, was first taken to Prince Albert’s Victoria Hospital then to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon for further care and treatment.

RCMP continue to investigate and are asking for help to find two stolen vehicles related to the incident.

One is a grey Dodge Ram 3500 with Saskatchewan plate 835 HVC. The other is a black Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi with Saskatchewan plate 848 KXE.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the vehicles is asked to call Prince Albert RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
