Alleged drug trafficker no shows scheduled trial
One of two men charged in connection to a drugs and weapons seizure in Prince Albert, is now on the run after failing to show up for his scheduled trial on Tuesday.
Justin Charles, 26, has been out on bail since May and not guilty pleas were entered to his 13 charges, at a hearing in March. A bench warrant has now been issued for his arrest.
On the afternoon of Jan. 8, members of the Prince Albert Police Street Enforcement Team (SET) and the Integrated Crime Reduction Team (ICRT) went to a residence in the 400 block of Seventh St. E.
In their search, officers seized body armour, a rifle, a shotgun, several rounds of ammunition, a starter pistol, and varying amounts of illicit drugs, including crack cocaine and meth.
