Inmate recaptured after escape from Willow Cree Healing Lodge

Saskatoon police said they have apprehended an escaped inmate from the Willow Cree Healing Lodge.

Norman Cardinal was arrested around 1:30 a.m. on Nov. 21.

Cardinal had been unlawfully at large from the minimum security federal institution since Nov. 4.

Correctional Services of Canada is conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
