Province reports 122 new cases of COVID-19 in Sask.

The Saskatchewan government 122 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 79,334 reported cases.

The new cases in northern Saskatchewan are located in the Far North West (one), North West (eight), North Central (11) and seven new cases have pending residence information.

There are 1,443 cases are considered active and 77,000 cases are considered recovered. Over one-third (36.9 per cent) of new cases are in the age category of 20 to 39 years of age. Over one-quarter (29.5 per cent) of new cases eligible for vaccination (aged 12 years and older) were fully vaccinated.

A total of 180 individuals are hospitalized, including 133 inpatient hospitalizations and 47 ICU hospitalizations. Of the 180 patients, 113 (62.8 per cent) were not fully vaccinated.

In addition to Sask. ICUs, there are 13 residents in out-of-province ICUs. As these patients are receiving care out of province, this number is not included in the hospitalization counts in the dashboard.

There are five new deaths reported today. 891 Saskatchewan residents with COVID-19 have died with a case fatality rate of 1.1 per cent.

NITHA numbers

The Northern Inter-Tribal Health Authority (NITHA) reported three new cases in NITHA communities on Nov. 11. Of the new cases, two (67 per cent) were unvaccinated and one (33 per cent) were partially vaccinated.

There are 68 active cases of COVID-19 in NITHA communities.

These cases are located in the Far North Central (Athabasca), 0; Far North West, 18; Far North East, 10; North Central, 35; and North East, five. There have been 6779 cases (98 per cent) have recovered, and six people are being hospitalized.
