Kachur Wealth Management donates $25K to Rose Garden Hospice

Nov 12, 2021 | 5:00 PM

The group behind the Rose Garden Hospice fundraising drive is closing in on their $4 million goal.

Kachur Wealth Management donated $25,000. Owner Cole Kachur was on hand Friday to help present the cheque at the hospice association’s office in the Gateway Mall.

“It’s gratifying and I’m looking forward to seeing [the hospice] take shape over the next couple years,” he said.

With the donation, a little over $3 million has been raised to date. Kachur acknowledged we all have friends or family who have went through a battle with cancer.

“And certainly having a facility like this for those who maybe are not on the other side of it I think will just make the healing process for them and their families a lot easier,” he said.

With respect to how the money was raised, Kachur explained the business tries to support local community projects, and this donation was not tied to any one specific fundraiser.

The Rose Garden Hospice officially broke ground in July. The estimated completion date for construction is 12 to 14 months.

The Rose Garden Hospice Association is still accepting online donations, which can be made on their website or Facebook page.
