CAA, P.A. police respond to number of calls after recent snowfall

Nov 12, 2021 | 6:00 PM

The first two days of snow in Prince Albert this season were busy but not crazy for CAA Saskatchewan.

They received around 40 calls on Wednesday and Thursday in the community with the majority of individuals needing to be pulled out of snowbanks.

Only a small number of drivers have needed help getting their vehicles started, while a few individuals called after locking their keys inside their vehicles.

CAA believes the overall numbers aren’t eye-popping due to the second snow day being Remembrance Day, a statutory holiday in Saskatchewan.

Meanwhile, the Prince Albert Police service noted they’ve responded to a number of calls, though they didn’t have an exact amount.

They, along with CAA Saskatchewan, are reminding drivers to slow down, give themselves more time to get to places and increase the distance between vehicles.

A full list of tips can be found on CAA’s website.
