Police investigating house fire in Nordale area

Nov 10, 2021 | 3:16 PM

The cause of a structure fire Wednesday morning in Prince Albert’s Nordale area, is under investigation.

At approximately 6:30 a.m., the Prince Albert Fire Department responded to the house on 10th St. NW. On arrival, the single-story home was found with flames.

The fire was extinguished, and the structure was monitored for several hours to cool the remaining hotspots.

“The structure was boarded up and appeared that no one was living at the location,” a statement on the fire dept. Facebook page said.

By late Wednesday afternoon, the Fire Department and Police Service were still on the scene.

Prince Albert police could not provide further comment for paNOW beyond acknowledging an investigation was underway.

The boarded-up house is the same structure where the human remains of 39-year-old Brandy Busch, were found in Feb. 2018. A neighbour told paNOW she was not aware of anyone else living there and had heard the structure was going to be torn down.
