Big River RCMP searching for missing canoers

A search effort involving community members, Big River RCMP, Ministry of Environment Conservation Officers and the Civil Air Search and Rescue Association is actively underway in northwestern Saskatchewan.
On Tuesday, a man and a woman went canoeing on Long Whitefish Lake. When they did not return, family contacted police.
RCMP confirmed they received a call at approximately 8:20 p.m. that day.
The canoe has been recovered.
