Missing boater found deceased on Wollaston Lake

The body of one of three missing individuals on Wollaston Lake has been recovered.

Police said two men and one woman went boating last Wednesday. They were expected back about two and a half hours later, but never returned.

The boat they were presumed to be in was previously discovered on Wollaston Lake. RCMP said the body, which was found on October 16, was one of the missing men and his family has since been notified.

Police searches continue on the lake for the other two individuals along with help from community volunteers, the Canadian Rangers, and the Civil Air Search and Rescue Association.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the boaters is asked to call the Wollaston Lake RCMP. Family members told paNOW the boaters have children who have been asking where their parents are.
