Prince Albert police investigating ‘suspicious’ death

Prince Albert Police are confirming a man who was assaulted early Saturday afternoon in the city’s west flat neigbourhood, has passed away in hospital.

Jeremy Wade Charles, 29, was found in the 700 block of 18th St. W. He was taken to Victoria Hospital with serious injuries, and later transported to hospital in Regina.

Police and paramedics had been called to the area at approximately 12:12 p.m.

On Monday, Charles was declared deceased by medical staff. His death is being investigated as suspicious and an autopsy has been scheduled for Wednesday.

The Prince Albert Crime Reduction Team (CRT) and Forensic Identification Section of the Prince Albert Police Service continue to investigate.

Anyone who witnessed this assault or has information in regards to Charles’ whereabouts is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
