COVID outbreak declared at St. John Community School

Sep 27, 2021 | 10:47 AM

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) has declared an outbreak at St. John Community School in Prince Albert.

The SHA said it is investigating multiple cases of COVID-19 at the school recently.

In a release, the Prince Albert Catholic School Division (PACSD) said four cases were confirmed Sunday evening and as a result, one class will move to Level 4, which is remote learning for the time being.

The move to online learning will remain in place from Monday until Oct. 7, barring any additional COVID cases that surface.

The PACSD said other cases of COVID-19 were found in different classes, however, those classes will remain for in-person learning unless other classmates experience symptoms.

On Sunday night, the PACSD also confirmed three positive cases at Ecole St. Mary High School. As of now, the classes affected will remain in person.
