The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day (September 30) is fast approaching.
As you may know, the City of Prince Albert (COPA), working with the Prince Albert Indian and Metis Friendship Centre and members of the COPA Public Art Working Group did a Call for an Indigenous Artist to create a design uniquely for Prince Albert for September 30.
The artist chosen was Ailah Carpenter. Ailah created two designs, one for T-shirts (sold only at the PAIMFC) and one for a stencil for painting windows, crosswalks, etc.
We have one stencil available for loan to organizations to use to paint the PA Orange Shirt Day design in their windows or possibly in front of their organization. Call (306-953-4825) or email (jmacleodcampbell@citypa.com) Judy if you are interested. The stencil can be loaned for blocks of two days and must be returned dry.
