Smith has coached all levels of minor hockey, including having head coaching positions at the U18 and U13 AA level, as well as being an assistant coach at the U15 AAA level. Smith is the Prince Albert area manager for the Global Sports Academy.

Smith will join head coach Tim Leonard and assistant coach Bryan Swystun on the Mintos’ coaching staff.

Beebe has been playing his hockey on the border with the Lloydminster Bobcats minor programs. Last year at the U16 AAA level, Beebe had an assist in three games. He had six goals and 18 points in 33 games with the U15 AAA Bobcats in the previous season.

The Mintos will begin their preseason schedule on Sept. 11 against the Tisdale Trojans at the Tisdale RECPlex. They will start their regular season on Sept. 25 at the Art Hauser Centre with a game against the Swift Current Legionnaires.
