His goal has always been to ensure customer satisfaction and sometimes educating a client on the positives and negatives of a certain floor type can help the client make a more informed and practical choice.
Though the most popular choice of flooring is still hardwood, a vast array of options to achieve a similar look while offering other perks have become contenders for top choice. Vinyl planking has become a very popular choice with its ease of installation and durability many people are choosing this cost-effective alternative. Ceramic tile is making a come back with hardwood lookalike patterns that offer much advanced endurance in high traffic areas or in homes with pets and children…no scratching the surface with claws and toys. Hypoallergenic soft surfaces can provide that warm and cozy feel that some people enjoy from carpet, but have been avoided due to health concerns.
“Each flooring type has its befits and drawbacks and it is our job to bring those to light when customers are trying to choose the right application for their home” said Middlebrook.
With the new tax incentives for home renovations, and let’s face it, starring at the same floors during Covid, many people have been motivated to make some updates. Increased demand can create supply issues and delays for desired completion dates, but that is not the case with Carpet World.
“We stock a lot of stuff, and that’s our big win when it comes to flooring stores. A lot of other places in town special order pretty much everything. One thing we found is getting access to product is becoming more and more difficult. Between our main store and our off-site warehouse, we have over 30,000 square feet of warehouse space. We carry a lot of inventory just to fill the need of people that need stuff done quickly.”
