Raiders release full schedule for upcoming season

Following the release of the 34-game home schedule for the Eastern Conference at the end of June, the Western Hockey League and the Prince Albert Raiders unveiled the rest of the 2021-22 regular season schedule on Tuesday.

The schedule fills in the remaining road dates for the 2021-22 season, primarily against Central Division opponents.

Notably, the Raiders make their first trip to Alberta in October for the first time since February 2020. On that trip, the Raiders take on the Medicine Hat Tigers on Friday, October 22 then square off with the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Saturday, October 23.

The Raiders will make two week-long treks through Alberta during the season. The first comes in January. Here are the dates:

• Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022 at Edmonton Oil Kings, 8 p.m. CST
• Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2022 at Red Deer Rebels, 8 p.m. CST
• Friday, Jan. 14, 2022 at Lethbridge Hurricanes, 8 p.m. CST
• Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022 at Calgary Hitmen, 2 p.m. CST

The second trip is near the end of February. Here is the trip that includes a game against the Medicine Hat Tigers on Family Day.

• Monday, Feb. 21, 2022 at Medicine Hat Tigers, 3 p.m. CST
• Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2022 at Calgary Hitmen, Noon CST
• Friday, Feb. 25, 2022 at Red Deer Rebels, 8 p.m. CST
• Saturday, Feb. 26, 2022 at Edmonton Oil Kings, 8 p.m. CST

The Raiders open the 2021-22 Regular Season with a home-and-home series against the Regina Pats, beginning on Friday, Oct. 1 at the Art Hauser Centre. Game time is 7 p.m. CST.
