The Prince Albert National Park is informing the public visiting the park on a weekday rather than on the weekend allows for more space to explore.

According to a media release, Parks Canada said amid the pandemic people are looking to spend time outside closer to home.

“Visiting Prince Albert National Park mid-week instead of on weekends and statutory holidays in the summer season ensures that visitors have space to enjoy all that the park has to offer,” as stated in the release.

Some of the activities guests can do while at the park include exploring the wilderness on a hike or bike on a trail, bring a paddleboard, canoe, or kayak to paddle on the lake, go fishing, visit one of the many beaches, admire the boreal forest, visit one of three reservable campgrounds on a first-come first-serve basis and finally visit the historical sites in the park or the Waskesiu Heritage Museum. Those interested can also visit the Waskesiu recreation grounds to play newly added games.
