Shoes to be hung on Muskoday Bridge on National Indigenous Peoples Day
A well-known piece of regional infrastructure will take on a very different and somber look as National Indigenous Peoples Day is recognized.
Muskoday First Nation will be tying 215 pairs of shoes to the bridge over Highway 3.
The powerful memorial is being done in light of the recent residential school findings in Kamloops, B.C.
There will be increased foot traffic on the bridge as organizers work creating the powerful display. The area will be monitored for safety and drivers are asked to use caution in the area.
