Aallcann Wood Suppliers Inc. will be paying $80,000 in fines following a workplace safety incident from December 2018.

The Prince Albert company plead guilty in Prince Albert Provincial Court on May 31.

The incident occurred on December 19, 2018 and involved a worker being caught in a chain drive while they were cleaning a conveyor. As the employer under occupational health and safety legislation, they failed to have effective safeguards in place to protect workers from dangerous, moving equipment.
