Travelling without the risk

P.A. Multicultural Council letting the public ‘travel the world’ right in the city

Jun 4, 2021 | 3:36 PM

As travelling around the world has been quite difficult to do during the pandemic over the last year and a half, the Prince Albert Multicultural Council is allowing those to ‘travel around the globe’ without leaving the city.

The World Traveler Walk-a-Thon is a 5 km walk around the world on the Rotary Trail, with contestants starting on ‘Canadian soil’ at the Elks Hall. From there, tourists can walk to various pavilions that represent other countries and will include some facts and activities exclusive to its country and/or culture.

Tourists can keep track of their travels in their passports, the more countries you visit, the better the prize that could be won in the prize draw.

The walk is on Saturday from 9 until noon.
