Red River Mutual’s community sponsorship program, Spruce Up Your Story, is back, and we want to spread the word that the deadline to apply is Monday, May 31 – five days away!
Last year, the program provided funding to Manitoba and Saskatchewan communities searching to breathe new life into their beloved public gathering spaces. Ten winners selected based on community use, sustainability, opportunity for volunteerism, and a link to a brokerage that partners with Red River Mutual, received funding to put towards the hubs, rinks, parks, halls and theatres that bring their communities together.
Communities across Manitoba and Saskatchewan can now apply for up to $25,000 in cash, with a total of $150,000 to be awarded. With no limit to the number of communities that can win, Red River Mutual hopes to strengthen their connection to the communities they serve and protect the places where stories are being made—ensuring they can live on for generations to come.
