Prince Albert Police charged a 24-year-old man with second-degree murder after the death of 44-year-old Norman Charles Custer. Custer was a victim of a homicide on Saturday.

Police did not reveal the matter in how Custer died in their Friday afternoon release. They also did not name the man accused of the crime—as he has not appeared in court yet, and will do so on Monday at 10 a.m.

The accused was taken into custody Thursday afternoon northwest of Prince Albert by the Prince Albert Police Service’s Criminal Investigations Division (CID), Patrol and Canine sections, in coordination with the Prince Albert Detachment of the Saskatchewan RCMP, RCMP Canine Unit and RCMP Emergency Response Team.
