A residence on the 1200 block of 7th Street East caught fire after a nearby garbage can was ignited.

Fire crews were busy in the area on Saturday night and early Sunday morning in the area, as there responded to a vehicle fire, a shed fire, and two other garbage can fires.

A truck was on fire on the 1100 block of 7th Street East at 1:35 a.m. It was extinguished and towed from the area. One garbage can fire was on the 110 block of 7th Street East as well. The homeowner had already partially put out the fire, while crews extinguished the rest. The other garbage fire was earlier in the night at 11:47 on the 1500 block of 15th Avenue East. The fire partially damaged the building next to it.

The shed fire was on the 400 block of 13th Avenue East at 1:11 a.m. It was extinguished, but after extensive damage had been done to the shed.
