Remy Aquilon and Max Paddock picked up the final two accolades in 2020-21 Prince Albert Raiders Year-End Awards.

Aquilon was presented with the Jim Neilson Award as the Most Valuable Defenceman, while Paddock was named as the Orland Kurtenbach Award as Most Valuable Player.

Despite the shortened season, Aquilon set career highs with 15 assists and 16 points. He was also +7 on the season. After captain Kaiden Guhle fell to injury in just the Raiders’ second game, Aquilon was immediately the top defenceman.

This is Aquilon’s second award this year, after winning the Ches Leach Award as the team’s Most Improved Player earlier in the week.

Paddock was a rock for the Raiders ever since he joined the team last year at the trade deadline from the Regina Pats. Paddock started in 15 of the 24 games in the Subway Hub Centre in Regina, posting a record of 7-6-1-0 with two shutouts. He compiled a 2.87 goals-against average and a 0.903 save percentage.

Paddock also ended up with the most game stars out of any Raider this year, winning the Three Stars Award over Ozzy Wiesblatt and Justin Nachbaur.
