COVID case identified at WP Sandin, students move to remote learning for next week
The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is reporting another case of COVID-19 within the Saskatchewan Rivers Public School Division (SRPSD).
The case is in WP Sandin Public High School in Shellbrook and SHA has said community transmission events are significantly impacting the school community.
“Previously many WP Sandin students were isolating because of community exposures, but now all classes (except the grade 10 class) will be under isolation orders until midnight May 31,” stated the SRPSD in a recent press release.
WP Sandin administration has agreed to move all students to Level 4 remote learning for next week which, due to no school being scheduled for May 21 and May 24, will only result in five days total of remote learning. The school community is expected to go back to in-person learning starting on June 1.
