Summer entertainment: Drive-in concert series at EA Rawlinson and improv show at Jam Street announced

May 10, 2021 | 3:00 PM

Building off the success of their first drive in concert last year, the EA Rawlinson Centre for the Arts has unveiled a line-up of seven acts for a drive-in summer concert series.

Rawlinson Centre marketing and events coordinator, Cara Stelmaschuk told paNOW summer has historically been a quiet time in terms of entertainment in Prince Albert.

“We wanted to bring something for people to enjoy some of these longer evenings of summer with some live music, Stelmaschuk said. “Support local performers at the same time and just give people something to do this summer.”

Starting June 9 with the Bryce Elliot Band, the Rawlinson will host concerts every second Wednesday, through to Sept. 1.

The acts are as follows:

June 9: Bryce Elliot Band (classic rock cover tunes)

June 23: Rod Gjerde (country)

July 7: The Garrys (dark doo-wop)

July 21: Megan Nash & The Best of Intentions (folk-pop)

Aug. 4: Jake Vaadeland & The Sturgeon River Boys (bluegrass)

Aug. 18: Allyson Reigh (folk)

Sept. 1: W3APONS (rock)

Space is limited to 48 vehicles to allow for an empty spot between each car.

For those looking to purchase tickets to the entire series, a 10 per cent discount is available by calling the box office at 306-765-1270, Stelmaschuk said.
