Road construction season gets underway in Prince Albert

The City of Prince Albert has announced various current and future road and lane closures happening in the community.

Until May 17, First Avenue from 17th Street to 18th Street West will be closed as city crews will be digging to replace a water main.

Starting today, the City closed a lane on Second Avenue West at the intersection of Marquis Road until May 20 for concrete work.

Also just for today until 4:30 p.m., there will be lane restrictions on the Central Avenue viaduct so crews can clean salt off the concrete.

Starting Friday at 8:30 a.m. there will be lane restrictions on the CN bridge and Shellbrook overpass to clean the bridge.

On May 10 at 8:30 a.m. Hadley Road, Wickens Place, Byars Street and Wilson Bay will be closed for top lift of paving until May 20.

On May 11 until 4:30 p.m. there will be lane restrictions on Second Avenue West for cleaning salt and grime off the concrete.

On May 12 until 4:30 p.m. on the Sixth Avenue East viaduct there will be lane restrictions due to cleaning Salt off the Concrete.

And finally on May 26 until 5 p.m. 17th Street West from 12th to 14th Avenue will be closed because they will be repaving.
