Vehicle thief rams police vehicle during attempted getaway

A woman who allegedly used a stolen SUV to ram a police vehicle before backing up and hitting a second police vehicle, is facing a handful of charges.

Angelique Felix, 19, appeared Monday at Prince Albert Provincial Court. After being read her charges, was remanded to Tuesday morning for a bail hearing.

The incident happened early Friday morning in the 200 block of 15th St. W. The woman, along with a number of other occupants inside the vehicle, were arrested at the scene.

In addition to two charges of assaulting a police officer, Felix has also been with dangerous driving and possession of a stolen vehicle.

Felix also has one outstanding charge from February related to possession of a stolen vehicle.

A spokesperson for the Prince Albert Police Service confirmed the two officers driving the vehicles, were not hurt.

A 36-year-old man was also charged with breach of probation in relation to this file.
