Sask. Chamber of Commerce publishes report on future of energy in the province
The Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce (SCC) has published a report on what a low-carbon economy could look like in the province.
The report features 18 recommendations on how the provincial and federal government can support businesses that are working towards the federal government’s climate change goals.
It also features contributions from nearly a dozen businesses and organizations in the province on how to begin transitioning to a low-carbon economy and what the future could look like in Saskatchewan.
“The Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce applauds the efforts and accomplishments of our province’s industries. From oil and gas to mining to agriculture to manufacturing and beyond, Saskatchewan businesses are continuously innovating to enhance environmental performance and each sector has opportunities, investments, and efficiencies that will continue to develop,” chamber CEO Steve McLellan said in a release.
